Summary

The Warehouse Assistant I prepares, ships, and receives customer product ensuring proper documentation. May perform the duties of Material Handler and can train or substitute leadership if the supervisor is absent.

What You'll Do As a Warehouse Assistant I

• Receive customer product and process documentation accurately.
• Warehouse incoming product safely.
• Maintain an organized dock area.
• Prepare product for shipment, stage shipping area, and ensure timely shipping.
• Maintain contact with transportation personnel and internal staff to meet shipping deadlines.
• Perform routine housekeeping and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist Material Handlers as needed.
• Follow company policies and directives, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively and professionally.
• Protect confidential information.
• Support company values of growth, operational excellence, leadership, and customer focus.
• Exhibit commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

• HS Diploma or G.E.D.
• At least 3 years of related warehouse experience.
• Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks, with proper licensing.
• Experience with shipping & receiving software.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good hearing to detect alarms and signals.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office.
