Job summary

Wieser Electric in Kingston, Ontario, is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support our growing team at two locations, Holmes Road in Inverary and downtown Kingston. This hands-on role is ideal for a reliable, resourceful worker who can operate independently.

You will pick up parts, deliver to job sites, clean and organize vehicles, restock supplies, perform light handyman tasks, run errands, and assist with basic vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

• Own vehicle and clean driving record.
• Able to arrive by 7 am, Monday to Friday.
• Must be able to lift 23 kgs (50 lbs).
• Must be available occasionally for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Pick up parts and deliver to job sites.
• Clean and organize company vehicles.
• Organize and restock company vehicles.
• Handyman tasks such as weatherstripping windows and doors and cleaning filters.
• Run errands to wholesale/retail stores.
• Basic vehicle maintenance like topping up windshield washer fluid.
• Book and drive vehicles to repairs and maintenance.
• Other duties as required, including listing items for sale online.

Wieser Electric is hiring a Warehouse Assistant to support our growing team, based at two locations, Holmes Road in Inverary and downtown Kingston. This is a hands-on role suited to someone reliable, resourceful, hard-working, and comfortable working independently.

Duties

• Pick up parts and equipment and deliver them to job sites, sometimes on short notice or urgent turnaround
• Clean company vehicles
• Organize and restock company vehicles
• Handyman work such as (for example) weatherstripping windows and doors, cleaning/changing equipment filters, fixing minor leaks and other similar tasks
• Run errands, including picking up items from various wholesale and retail stores
• Minor vehicle maintenance, such as topping up windshield washer fluid and changing wiper blades
• Book and drive vehicles to appointments for repairs and maintenance
• Other duties as required, which may include listing items for sale online and doing basic research tasks

Requirements

• Own vehicle and clean driving record
• Able to arrive at Holmes Road, Inverary, by 7 am Monday to Friday
• Clean driving record that meets our business insurance requirements for driving company vehicles
• Focused effort during work hours; no personal phone use while on the clock
• Must be able to lift 23 kgs (50 lbs)
• Must be available occasionally for emergency calls

Hours and pay

• This is a Monday to Friday position (five days a week) starting at 7 am
• The is a part-time job leading to full-time as the company grows
• Hourly rate: $20.00 and up depending on experience
