Job summary

East Penn Canada is seeking a Day Shift Warehouse Assistant to support finishing, labeling, order assembly, and general warehouse tasks at our Courtice Head Office. This role ensures timely, accurate product finishing and order fulfillment while maintaining safety and environmental standards.

Must have at least 1 year of picking/packing or labeling experience, be familiar with inventory handling, and able to use warehouse tech like WMS, RF scanners, and labeling systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Finish products and label to customer specifications on the finishing line.

• Label finished products and package, using multiple technology systems to stage orders.
• Occasionally assist with loading and unloading of products.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety in the warehouse at all times.

Job description

The Day Shift Warehouse Assistant is responsible for safely contributing to the overall effectiveness of East Penn Canada's warehouse operations by performing a variety of activities relating to product finishing, order assembly, and general warehouse support. This role directly contributes to customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate finishing of products and orders, while maintaining compliance with all company and provincial safety and environmental standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of shifts working on finishing line, labeling product to customer specifications
• Sort, mark, and place items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to product specifics such as size, type, style, or SKU
• Assist in replenishment of pick bins as required
• Utilize multiple technology systems to accurately label finished products, package, and stage customer orders
• Occasionally assist with loading and unloading of products
• Actively participate in general housekeeping and maintenance of the warehouse environment, ensuring work areas are clear and free of hazards at all times

Experience, Skills & Competencies

• A minimum of 1 (one) year of experience in picking/packing, labeling, or assembly position within a warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, or related environment
• Familiarity with inventory handling, including sorting, stocking, and replenishment of products
• Strong understanding of, and ability to use various technology tools related to warehousing, such as warehouse management systems, RF scanners, and labeling systems
• Experience with manual material handling and ability to frequently lift products weighing up to 50 lbs
• Extremely strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, with minimal supervision requirements

Other Considerations

• Hiring range for this role is $19.00 to $20.00 per hour (exact salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data)
• This position is supporting theday shift with hours of work running from 6am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday
• This is a 100% on-site position, working out of East Penn's Courtice Head Office location (reliable transportation to and from work is required, as public transportation options are not available for this area)
• This role requires some flexibility in schedule to accommodate occasional overtime requirements during periods of increased order volume
