Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited is hiring a Warehouse Assembler for their new East Gwillimbury distribution centre in Ontario. The role supports a fast-paced, unionized environment with safety at the forefront and opportunities to work within a state-of-the-art facility.

You will operate material handling equipment, move pallets, and collaborate with a team to ensure accurate, efficient product flow across shifts including day, afternoon and night.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma or GED is an asset.
• Experience operating an electric-powered pallet jack is an asset.
• Warehouse or general labour experience is preferred.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly in a timed environment.
• Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment.
• Flexible 8-hour shifts (day, afternoon and night).

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment to move products around the facility.
• Lift, lower and carry products up to 60 pounds with care.
• Safely navigate equipment around pedestrians, racking and other machines.
• Open and close trailer doors as needed.
• Operate the dock mechanism to lower or raise ramps safely.
• Use voice instructions to locate products and count picked items.
• Scan pallet labels with a hand scanner for processing.
• Read labels and product info to organize pallets correctly.
