Job summary

Newrest is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Operator to manage daily activities in our Canada-based warehouse. You will oversee Pick & Pack, stock control, and FIFO-compliant storage, while ensuring hygiene and safety standards are followed.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Training and development opportunities are offered, with a collaborative team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
• Knowledge of FIFO and inventory control.
• Ability to follow hygiene and safety procedures.
• Eligible to work in Canada with valid work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, plan and organize warehouse and Pick & Pack activities.
• Communicate issues with the department manager.
• Train and monitor new employees on warehouse flows.
• Ensure completion of traceability documents.
• Oversee storage, handling and FIFO-compliant stock rotation.
• Perform general warehouse and inventory duties daily.
• Keep records updated and report shortages or delays.

Your Main Missions Will Be

• Scheduling, planning and organizing the work of the warehouse and Pick & Pack
• Communicate any problem with department manager.
• Training and monitoring of new employees on all warehouse and Pick & Pack flow processes in place.
• Ensure completion of traceability documents.
• Oversee unpacking and storing of products in various storage areas in accordance with FIFO rules.
• Perform material outputs in accordance with good hygiene and manufacturing practices.
• Supervise, plan and perform inventories according to schedule.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing stocks, coordinate activities with production departments.
• Monitor deadlines for equipment usage and plan picking accordingly.
• Oversee updates of orders, receipt of goods and inputs warehouse data into the system.
• Respect and enforce compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
• Ensure all delivery are received on time and put away on timely manner accordingly to guidelines by manager.
• Communicate to your manager if there is late delivery or short of stock to ensure proper planning is in place.
• Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation.
• Rotate product as appropriate, provide designated items to appropriate department.
• Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Conduct inbound processes of new merchandise in accordance with guidelines and following all prescribed
• procedures, ability to understand specificities for each airline.
• Perform all day-to-day warehouse/ inventory activities, physical and administrative handling of merchandise.
• Take appropriate action to label, store, sort, dispose merchandise as instructed.
• Requires to be on their feet working while clocked in, unless on break.
• Assist in maintaining Security and Health and Safety requirements.
• Ensure adherence to procedural and policy requirements.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Prepare the trays, china, forks, knives, glasses, napkins and various other containers for production.
• Maintains clean, sanitary stock of dishes and utensils required by other departments.
• Unloads and stacks dishes/cutlery in appropriate storage area.
• Dispose clean dishes and utensils to proper areas as needed for other departments.
• Maintains clean, sanitary work area, safe storage of dish carts and related supplies.
• Follow established guidelines, food safety, health & safety policies and procedures.
• Keep accurate records of cleaning performed.
• General dish area maintenance including sweeping, mopping, organization and garbage.
