Job summary

Structural Truss Systems in Fort MacLeod, AB is hiring a Builder/General Labourer for the Wall Shop on a full-time contract that ends around December 18, 2026. Work is Monday to Friday in a manufacturing setting with safe, process-driven tasks.

The role involves assembling walls, inspecting materials, using hand and power tools, and maintaining a clean, organized shop. Cross-training and advancement are available under a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand wall/ truss layouts and instructions.
• Experience with basic hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to lift, hammer, and work on jigs all day.

Responsibilities

• Assemble walls accurately according to layouts and instructions.
• Review wall layouts and inspect lumber for quality and accuracy.
• Use hand and power tools to complete builds.
• Keep workstations clean and dispose of waste properly.
• Perform routine maintenance and report tool issues.
• Follow health and safety procedures to work safely.
• Help keep the shop running smoothly with other duties.
