Job summary

MVA International Headhunters is supporting a leading international engineering and transportation consultancy in recruiting a Vice President – Rail Systems Integration for its Toronto presence. This senior role will own the rail systems integration function, directing cross‑disciplinary teams across signalling, traction power, rolling stock and related interfaces.

Qualifications

Senior leadership experience in rail/metro/mass-transit sectors.
Strong background in rail systems engineering and system integration.
Experience delivering large, multidisciplinary rail/transit programmes.
Understanding of interfaces between railway systems and civil infrastructure.
Experience leading sizeable engineering teams and bids.
Credibility with government bodies, transit authorities and contractors.
Canada transportation market experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide executive leadership for the rail systems integration function.
Lead the integration of signalling, communications, traction power, rolling stock, track and stations.
Establish systems engineering, interface management, requirements, assurance and verification processes.
Coordinate between civil infrastructure, railway systems, operations and maintenance workstreams.
Oversee project performance, commercial objectives, risks and quality.
Represent the business at executive client meetings and industry events.
