Job summary

Thrive in Toronto seeks an experienced executive engineering leader below the CTO. You will own delivery commitments, lead four engineering teams, and align with three business units to deliver a platform used by governments and enterprises.

You will manage managers, drive capacity decisions, and build levelling/frameworks with our Head of People. The role has real authority and CTO backing, with equity and a performance bonus.

Qualifications

• Led engineering for a business software product with large teams.
• Owned delivery commitments and could adjust dates when needed.
• Managed managers or team leads and coached growth.
• Comfortable presenting to customers, procurement, or security reviewers.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery commitments across four teams and three units.
• Partner with sales and business unit owners to anchor capacity.
• Lead engineering people, including one-to-ones and progression.
• Hire and define levelling with Head of People; shape teams.
