Job summary
Citigroup Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to architect and deliver next-generation Agentic AI applications.
You will define technical direction for AI-powered platforms, lead teams, and build production-grade systems powering autonomous, multi-agent workflows across Citi's global technology organization. You will lead hands-on development across the stack, from React/TypeScript frontends to Python/Java microservices, and ensure secure, scalable, and compliant delivery.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of technical delivery and team leadership.
- Frontend development experience with React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, focusing on responsive UIs.
- Advanced Python (FastAPI, Flask, Celery) and/or Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud) for backend services.
Responsibilities
- Architect secure, high-performance full-stack applications for Agentic AI workflows.
- Lead hands-on development from React frontends to Python/Java microservices and RESTful/gRPC APIs.
- Design and implement AI workflows using LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Semantic Kernel.
