Engagement: Full-Time

Work Location: Toronto,Ontario,Canada(Hybrid4x/week)

Client: One of Canada's largest non-bank wealth and asset management firms, known for mutual funds, portfolio management, financial advisory services, and supporting financial advisors and institutional investors across North America.

Working closely with Operations, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Client Service, and executive leadership, the Vice President drives strategic technology initiatives, manages third-party service providers, and ensures the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions that support business objectives and client service excellence.

Position Overview

The Vice President, Information Technology – Transfer Agency is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall strategy, governance, risk management, and operational effectiveness of technology supporting Transfer Agency operations. This individual oversees critical technology platforms, vendors, controls, and data management processes to ensure regulatory compliance, audit readiness, operational excellence, and business scalability. The role serves as the primary technology executive for Transfer Agency functions, leading vendor governance, technology risk management, regulatory and audit oversight, data governance, and operational controls. In addition, the Vice President plays a key role in supporting business growth through acquisitions, leading technology due diligence, conversion initiatives, and the successful integration of acquired businesses onto the organization's Transfer Agency platforms and operating model. Working closely with Operations, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Client Service, and executive leadership, the Vice President drives strategic technology initiatives, manages third-party service providers, and ensures the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions that support business objectives and client service excellence.

What You Will Bring
  • 12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience within financial services, including significant experience supporting Transfer Agency, fund administration, investor servicing, wealth management, or related operations.10+ years supporting Transfer Agency, fund administration, wealth management, or investor servicing operations.
  • Degree in IT or a related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • Significant experience overseeing third-party technology vendors and outsourced service providers.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and operating governance, risk, and control frameworks.
  • Experience managing regulatory examinations, audits, SOC reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading technology workstreams for acquisitions, conversions, and business integrations.

Compensation: $190 - $260k + Bonus and Benefits
