RBC in Toronto is seeking a strategic leader to direct the management of a complex enterprise integration platform, overseeing 300+ production services with 99.5% availability targets. You will shape program and technical strategy, mentor managers, and drive modernization initiatives across multiple Lines of Business.

What is the Opportunity?

Directs the management of high-complexity enterprise integration platform activities, leading the design, implementation, optimization, and continuous support of 300+ production services across the portfolio while driving strategic modernization initiatives and vendor delivery partnerships. This role encompasses full lifecycle responsibility for software delivery, support, and maintenance across multiple complex platforms serving 5 Lines of Business with 99.5% availability targets.

What Will You Do?

• Partners with senior business leaders and Lines of Business to understand strategic objectives and align enterprise integration solutions to meet evolving business and operational needs.
• Makes independent decisions on program, technical, and operational strategy for the integration platform portfolio, providing leadership, coaching, and mentorship through senior managers and managers.
• Sets strategic direction for platform operations and modernization, receiving high-level guidance from senior leaders.
• Drives innovation across areas of responsibility, identifying opportunities for operational improvements, modernization, and solving highly complex technical problems related to platform engineering and integration.

Software Delivery & Vendor Partnerships

• Directs the delivery of software solutions across vendor platforms (20+ strategic relationships including TransUnion, Equifax, IBM, Salesforce, FICO, and others), ensuring seamless integration and value realization.
• Manages vendor relationships, release coordination, and connection management to ensure timely and quality delivery of platform capabilities.
• Oversees strategic vendor-led initiatives and ensures accountability for on-time delivery against commitments.

Support & Maintenance Operations

• Directs comprehensive support and maintenance activities across the DAP portfolio, ensuring 99.5% availability and optimal performance of production services.
• Establishes and maintains operational excellence standards for incident management, problem resolution, and continuous platform optimization.
• Ensures compliance with SLAs and manages escalation protocols for complex technical issues.

Team Leadership & Development

• Oversees and directs multiple development and support teams, providing leadership, mentorship, and operational guidance to ensure successful execution of complex, large-scale initiatives.
• Develops team capabilities through coaching, knowledge transfer, and professional development opportunities.
• Ensures clear accountability and performance management across all team members.

Platform Management & Modernization

• Manages complex technical platforms across all systems and vendor relationships
• Directs platform modernization initiatives, and technology currency initiatives.
• Leads disaster recovery modernization and resilience improvements.

Security & Risk Management

• Owns accountability for achieving and maintaining zero critical vulnerabilities across 300+ services and production platforms.
• Leads cross-functional collaboration efforts fostering strong internal relationships across the organization and external relationships with vendors to drive security and business outcomes.
• Manages technical currency and compliance initiatives.

Operational Excellence

• Drives continuous improvement in platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Manages LOB coverage across 5 Lines of Business, ensuring tailored solutions and support.
• Oversees vendor connection management and coordinates multi-vendor release schedules.
