Job summary

Brookfield Energy, a flagship Brookfield Asset Management unit, seeks a VP - Capital Partnerships to lead investment product structuring and equity solutions in the Renewable Power and Transition franchise. The role is based in Toronto and requires deep experience in private markets and investor engagement.

You will design capital strategies, supervise junior members, and partner with legal, tax and finance to finalize terms while balancing risk and timing.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in investment banking or direct investments.
• Strong transactional experience in private markets.
• Undergraduate degree in business or finance.
• Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to assess complex situations and make recommendations.
• Proactive self-starter able to handle pressure.
• Capable of leading projects independently with strong PM skills.
• Ability to coach and develop junior team members.
• Strong written and verbal communication, especially with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with renewables, power or infrastructure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support new investment products within Renewable Power and Transition franchise.
• Lead research and screening of opportunities for future strategies.
• Structure and negotiate equity capital solutions (co-investments, continuations, yield cos).
• Collaborate with investment team to design funding strategy for large transactions.
• Lead investor outreach and diligence with Brookfield’s network.
• Oversee preparation of memoranda, financial models and due diligence materials.
