Job summary

Bank of Montreal is seeking a Vice President in Canada to support Corporate Banking with regulatory coordination, risk governance, and analytics across risk, policy and remediation initiatives.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee regulatory exams and risk reviews, and drive enterprise-wide governance programs with emphasis on data quality and disclosures. A strong background in banking risk and policy management is essential.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, risk management or related field.
• 3–7 years of banking, risk management, governance, credit, audit, regulatory, project management or related experience.
• Knowledge of Commercial Banking and lending processes.
• Understanding of risk governance, policy management, regulatory expectations and control frameworks.
• Familiarity with audit, issue management, remediation and governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead organization and gathering of “first day” materials for audit, credit risk review and regulatory exams.
• Coordinate policy, standard and guideline reviews across relevant stakeholders.
• Track approvals, attestations, action items and implementation milestones.
• Act as Global Corporate Banking representative on risk and regulatory related projects.
• Respond to banker inquiries on varying credit risk policies and procedural topics.
• Support data quality reviews, issue tracking and capability-building initiatives.
• Provide risk-related communications and training materials.
