The Borgen Project is an international organization working at the political level to improve living conditions for those affected by war, famine, and poverty.

With 20 years of experience, the organization has supported the passage of bills benefitting nearly 500 million people in developing countries.

Writer/Journalist Program

This role involves content creation for BORGEN Magazine or The Borgen Project Blog. It is a part-time, 12 hours/week, 12-week unpaid remote program. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the program sooner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Article writing
  • Researching topics
  • Supporting advocacy efforts
  • Assisting with fundraising by creating a personal campaign to meet targets

Experience: No prior experience necessary. We seek passionate individuals committed to fighting poverty, regardless of background or GPA.

Details: This is an unpaid program, but college credit may be available.

Start date: Programs begin monthly; you can select your start month.
