From CNN to The Huffington Post, the world is talking about the movement that is downsizing global poverty. The Borgen Project believes that world leaders should do more to address global poverty. The campaign aims to make poverty a focus of U.S. and U.K. foreign policy.

Are you passionate about making a difference? The Borgen Project is an international organization working at the political level to improve living conditions for those affected by war, famine, and poverty.

With 20 years of experience, the organization has supported legislation benefiting nearly 500 million people in developing countries.

Writer/Journalist Program

This role involves content creation for BORGEN Magazine or The Borgen Project Blog. It is a part-time, unpaid, remote program of 12 hours per week for 12 weeks. You may work ahead and complete the program sooner if needed.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Writing articles.
  2. Researching topics.
  3. Supporting advocacy efforts.
  4. Assisting with fundraising by creating a personal campaign and meeting targets.

Experience: No prior experience is necessary. We seek passionate individuals committed to fighting poverty, regardless of background or GPA.

Details: Unpaid program with college credit available.

Start Date: Flexible start dates each month; you choose when to begin.
