Alzheimer Society of BC and Yukon is seeking a Volunteer Engagement and Administrative Coordinator to join a regional and provincial team. The role supports direct client services for families affected by dementia, administers volunteer programs, and handles office tasks to improve efficiency.

The Volunteer Engagement and Administrative Coordinator works independently and as part of a regional and provincial team providing direct client services to people affected by dementia. In this role, you provide administrative support and volunteer coordination to help increase the team’s effectiveness, efficiency and capacity. You have a key responsibility for implementing volunteer engagement processes to ensure the region’s volunteer needs are met and volunteers have a positive experience. Administrative tasks including financial processes, project coordination and office admin are also part of the role. Occasional travel within BC may occur. This hybrid role has the option to primarily work from home; the frequency required in office varies by region (from once or twice a week to monthly or quarterly) and will be confirmed by the manager.

Starting salary range (level 5): $46,700 to $54,000 per year
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week
You have a post-secondary diploma in Volunteer Engagement or Office Administration, or an equivalent combination of education, practical experience, and lived experience that equips you with the knowledge and skills needed for this role. You have a commitment to working with integrity, respect and courage. You bring a person-centred and collaborative approach to your work. You focus on inclusivity and respect diverse backgrounds. Having experience working with older adults and/or in a not-for-profit environment is considered an asset and will help you better understand the needs of our community.
