An established agency dedicated to child and family welfare is seeking passionate individuals to join their Board. This role offers the chance to influence the direction of community services and ensure children are nurtured in loving families. As a Board member, you will help set priorities, establish objectives, and participate in workshops, contributing to the wellbeing of families in southwestern Manitoba. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your community while collaborating with diverse individuals who share a commitment to child safety and family support.
Established in 1899, Child and Family Services of Western Manitoba provides programs and services to support families as well as protect children who reside in Westman communities. Child and Family Services of Western Manitoba seeks to provide best practice through a collaborative, family-centered, culturally safe, and strengths-based approach to serving families. Practice innovations guide the Agency’s work to improving outcomes of safety, permanence, and wellbeing for children and families.
The CFS Western Board is made up of up to 14 members plus the past president, all from diverse backgrounds and geographical areas to represent our catchment areas that we serve. You need to be a member to apply. Our members are community-minded individuals who all want to make a difference in the wellbeing of a child or family and live in southwestern Manitoba. To become a member, refer to our membership page. Low annual fees of $10 for one year or $25 for three years.
