Job summary

Acuren is seeking Visual Inspectors to support turnaround work at our client site IOR in Cold Lake, AB. This role offers field exposure, 12-hour shifts, and rotation-based scheduling, with preference for candidates located in Alberta.

You will perform visual inspection of process piping and structures, verify materials, and read construction drawings and specs while using Word/Excel for reporting. Strong attention to detail and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• API 510, 570, IBPV (required)
• Ability to verify and accept material
• Proficient with MS Word & Excel
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Observes work in progress to assure conformance with requirements and acceptable workmanship
• Inspection of process piping, power piping and structures from material verification stage to final commissioning and installation
• Utilizes applicable procedures, codes, and standards to evaluate test and inspection reports, recommending acceptable or rejection
• Experience reviewing Work Scope Packages
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Position Summary:

• Start Date: August 28, 2026 to September 24, 2026
• Location: IOR, Cold Lake, AB
• Rotation: 6/1, 12 hour shifts
• Prefer candidates to be located within AB

Responsibilities

• Observes work in progress to assure conformance with requirements and acceptable workmanship
• Inspection of process piping, power piping and structures from material verification stage to final commissioning and installation
• Utilizes applicable procedures, codes, and standards to evaluate test and inspection reports, recommending acceptable or rejection/or rejection
• Experience reviewing Work Scope Packages
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Requirements
