Acuren Inspection, Inc. is seeking Visual Inspectors to support turnaround work at our client site IOR in Cold Lake, AB. This role offers hands-on experience in various industrial environments and emphasizes safety, quality, and reliability.

Location is Cold Lake, AB, with 6/1 rotation and 12-hour shifts. Start date window from late August 2026. AB residents are preferred to facilitate on-site collaboration with the local team.

Qualifications

• API 510/570/IBPV certification required.
• Reading and interpreting drawings and specs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Observe work in progress to assure conformance with requirements.
• Inspect process piping, power piping and structures from material verification through commissioning.
• Review Work Scope Packages.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Position Summary

• Start Date: August 28, 2026 to September 24, 2026
• Location: IOR, Cold Lake, AB
• Rotation: 6/1, 12 hour shifts
• Prefer candidates to be located within AB

Responsibilities

• Observes work in progress to assure conformance with requirements and acceptable workmanship
• Inspection of process piping, power piping and structures from material verification stage to final commissioning and installation
• Utilizes applicable procedures, codes, and standards to evaluate test and inspection reports, recommending acceptable or rejection/or rejection
• Experience reviewing Work Scope Packages
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Requirements

• API 510, 570, IBPV (required)
• Ability to verify and accept material
• Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
