Red Deer Polytechnic invites individuals to model for the School of Arts and Education, primarily for Visual Arts classes. Sessions may involve nude or clothed posing in full body or portrait formats, for students using their image as reference in drawings, paintings, or sculpture.

• Ability to follow direction and remain still for long periods (18+).
• No prior modelling experience required.

Position Summary

Red Deer Polytechnic School of Arts and Education is seeking models to pose for Creative Arts classes, primarily in the Visual Art program, in which students will use their image as reference to draw, paint or sculpt (paper or digital). Sessions may include nude modelling, clothed modelling, full body, and/or portrait sessions depending on the needs of the class.

Individuals of all ages (18+), genders, body types, physical abilities, and ethnicity are encouraged to apply.

The School of Arts and Education includes the following programs which may include models in their courses:

• Visual Arts Diploma
• Bachelor of Fine Arts, University Transfer
• Bachelor of Applied Arts – Animation and Visual Effects
• Bachelor of Applied Arts – Film

Position Responsibilities

The successful candidate will fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Taking direction from the class instructor, models will pose in various positions clothed or unclothed, as the class requires.
• Timely completion of electronic timesheets for each pay period is required.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to follow direction and remain still for long periods of time.
• No previous experience required.

Benefits and Compensation Information

An additional 15% of the hourly rate in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits.
