Job description

Location : Alberta (Remote – covering Western Canada)

Our client, a leading organization in the life sciences industry, is seeking a Virtual Sales Representative to support their Companion Animal Business Unit across Western Canada . The successful candidate will be responsible for creating demand for a portfolio of companion animal products by influencing customer prescribing and dispensing behaviors in the region.

Through effective virtual territory management, the representative will align their efforts with organizational goals to meet or exceed sales performance targets. They will also drive promotional initiatives, collaborate cross-functionally, and deliver tailored solutions that address customer needs in the veterinary sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize the client’s sales model and virtual call execution process to generate demand and build customer loyalty.
  • Conduct daily virtual sales calls (per set KPIs) with targeted clients across Western Canada.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets for both overall performance and key growth products.
  • Identify customer needs and deliver value-based solutions using the client’s portfolio.
  • Develop and execute quarterly Territory Business Plans incorporating market insights and strategic tactics.
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the market, products, and technical applications.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and role requirements.
  • Engage in continuous personal and professional development.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in business or a scientific field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in field territory sales or inside sales is preferred.
  • Experience in the animal health industry or knowledge of small animal veterinary products is a strong asset.
  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Office Suite and video conferencing platforms (Zoom, MS Teams).
  • Demonstrated sales success with the ability to meet and exceed performance goals.
  • Quick learner with the ability to grasp technical and scientific information.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, and organization skills.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection required for remote work.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally within the territory as needed.
