Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Mississauga, Ontario, is hiring a Nurse Practitioner Lead who will provide high-quality virtual care, lead a team of NPs, and shape clinical programs across the network.

The role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, including onboarding, quality improvement, policy development, and cross-disciplinary collaboration with nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, and other health professionals.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner registration in Canada.
• Willingness to obtain licensure in additional provincial jurisdictions.
• Minimum of two years of direct clinical NP experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, or people-management experience preferred.
• Strong clinical expertise across a broad range of health conditions.
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to deliver organized, patient-centred care in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based virtual care to patients across a broad range of health conditions.
• Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans within scope of practice; prescribe when appropriate.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of Nurse Practitioners; oversee onboarding and ongoing education.
• Collaborate with RNs, dietitians, pharmacists, and other health professionals to deliver seamless care.
• Develop and communicate clinical policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and program enhancements.
