Job summary

Iconic Wineries of British Columbia is seeking a hands-on vineyard operative to support estate operations in West Kelowna, Kelowna, and Lake Country. The role emphasizes safe tractor operation, field tasks, and timely harvest support.

You will join a collaborative team, perform routine maintenance, ensure accurate application of materials, and adhere to health and safety protocols while working outdoors across varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience operating tractors and vineyard equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform maintenance.
• Valid BC driver’s license with clean driving record; Class 1/3 license is an asset.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 25 kg (approx. 50 lb).

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors and vineyard equipment safely across estate vineyards.
• Perform mowing, cultivation, spraying, hedging, and harvest support.
• Assist in maintaining vine health and fruit quality through fieldwork.
• Execute daily and seasonal vineyard operations.
• Clean, inspect, and support maintenance of tractors and implements.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated for accurate application of materials.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including PPE and handling of agricultural products.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate tractors and vineyard equipment safely and efficiently across estate vineyards
• Perform key vineyard tasks including mowing, cultivation, spraying, hedging, and harvest support
• Assist in maintaining vine health and fruit quality through precise, hands-on fieldwork
• Execute daily and seasonal vineyard operations
• Clean, inspect, and support routine maintenance of tractors and implements
• Ensure equipment is properly calibrated for accurate application of materials
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and handling of agricultural products
• Perform physically active work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the growing season

What We’re Looking For:

• Demonstrated tractor operating experience
• Solid mechanical understanding with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic equipment maintenance
• Valid B.C. driver’s license and a safe driving record
• Valid Class 1/3 license is an asset
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 kg (approx. 50 lb).
