Job summary

Sebastian Farms is the vineyard management division of Iconic Wineries of British Columbia (IWBC), responsible for cultivating and caring for more than 1,500 acres of premium vineyards throughout the Okanagan Valley. Our vineyards supply fruit for some of British Columbia's most recognized wineries, supporting the production of world-class wines that showcase the unique terroir of the region.

From vineyard operations and crop management to precision agriculture and harvest logistics, our teams work at the forefront of modern viticulture, combining innovation, sustainability, and craftsmanship to produce exceptional grapes year after year.

Your Journey in Viticulture:

Working with Sebastian Farms offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in one of Canada's most dynamic agricultural industries.

Whether you're interested in vineyard operations, crop science, geospatial technology, or winemaking, you'll work alongside experienced professionals and contribute directly to the seasonal cycle that brings our vineyards to life.

Throughout the season, you'll gain exposure to vineyard development and management, sustainable farming practices, crop monitoring, harvest operations, precision agriculture technologies, geospatial data collection, and collaboration with vineyard and winemaking teams.

What We're Looking For:

  • Passion for agriculture, viticulture, science, environmental stewardship, or winemaking
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and desire to learn
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking uneven terrain, lifting, bending, and working outdoors for extended periods
  • Flexible scheduling, including occasional evenings, weekends, and harvest-related work
  • You thrive in ambiguity and are comfortable with change
  • You put trust in others and never let anyone down
  • You listen, take feedback, respond quickly, and take initiative with a sense of urgency
  • You are authentic, diplomatic, thoughtful, and always have the best intentions

Bonus Points:

  • Previous vineyard, agriculture, farming, or horticulture experience
  • Enrollment in or completion of a related post-secondary program
  • Experience with GIS, mapping, data analysis, or precision agriculture technologies
  • Second language considered an asset
