Job summary

The Saskatoon Community Service Village (SCSV) seeks a Village Director to lead daily operations, oversee facilities management and financial administration, and support the Board of Directors in achieving organizational goals.

You will guide governance, strategic initiatives, and tenant relations, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and strong collaboration among Village partners to deliver high‑quality community services.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in business administration, public administration, nonprofit management or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Village and ensure efficient operation of the organization.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and Village operations, supporting the Board and implementing Board decisions.
• Participate in strategic planning, organizational development, and risk management.
• Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs, security, landscaping, custodial services, signage, and contracted services.
• Ensure the facility, furnishings, and equipment remain safe, functional, and meet tenant needs.
• Oversee organizational finances within Board-approved budgets, including revenues, expenditures, cash flow, bookkeeping, invoicing, and financial record keeping.
• Approve expenditures within delegated authority and help development of the annual operating budget.
• Prepare and support financial reporting for leadership, the Board, funders, and auditors.
• Foster collaborative relationships among Village partners and resolve operational issues as needed.
• Lead onboarding of new tenant organizations and represent the Village on committees, working groups, and community initiatives.
