The Western Canada finance team, based in Calgary, Alberta, is a key contributor to the financial success of the Western Region.

The Finance Team reports directly to the President of Western Canada and is involved in all strategic decision-making for the region. This position reports to the Vice President of Finance for the Western Region. The team in Calgary consists of 1 Senior Analyst, 1 Junior Analyst, and 1 VIE position. The team works collaboratively to reach end goals. The VIE position will be involved in all finance deliverables, gaining a comprehensive understanding of all facets of the business. Responsibilities include providing business insights through data-driven analysis and forecasts, monitoring monthly financial data, and collaborating with various teams to meet financial objectives and optimize operational efficiency. Air Liquide Canada is seeking a FP&A Analyst (Financial Planning and Analysis) to support the western region operations based in Calgary. The analyst will provide insights through data analysis and forecasts, monitor financial data, and collaborate across teams to ensure financial and operational objectives are met.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing data trends, operational metrics, and key drivers to assess business performance
• Delivering sales variance analysis
• Preparing monthly financial reports and trend summaries
• Updating the standard cost model for product costing and plant allocation
• Developing KPIs and BI reports for the western region
• Creating dashboards and reports for performance monitoring
• Collaborating with the pricing specialist on pricing updates

Education: Business degree focused on accounting or finance

Soft and Hard Skills

Must have:
