Job summary

Eastlink in Halifax is seeking a Video Engineer to design and optimize their video platforms and infrastructure. You will support the national CDN, contribute to the cloud-based DVR and VoD services, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality video experiences.

The ideal candidate has a background in telecommunications or video engineering, strong networking knowledge, and is passionate about technology and automation.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecommunications, ICT, or video engineering environments.
• Experience with video testing, validation, and quality assurance practices.
• Strong understanding of IP networking concepts, particularly multicast technologies.
• Knowledge of DOCSIS, MPLS, and other broadband or WAN technologies.
• Experience with telecom billing and provisioning systems.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance the national Content Delivery Network.
• Plan storage and infrastructure solutions for cloud-based services.
• Contribute to IP network design and capacity planning.
• Design and support enterprise video solutions.
• Manage video signal acquisition and content-provider interconnections.
