You know the people, communities, and culture of Cape Breton. You will be a champion for innovative visual storytelling content, advocating for the creative use of video, still images, graphics, and other visual storytelling techniques.

Key Tasks:

  • Arrange and conduct interviews.
  • Plan, edit, and deliver video with a focus on live and on-demand content.
  • Understand the key needs of shooting video.

  • Work with newsroom leadership to develop clear video strategy and workflows.

  • Knowledge of and connection to equity-deserving communities across Prince Edward Island.
  • Commitment to inclusive storytelling and a diverse, respectful work culture.
  • Comfortable on-air presence.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and as part of a team.
