We’re in closed beta, with a live website and an App Store launch in 2-4 weeks. Join our mission to help students overcome overwhelm and study smarter, led by a founder with 8 years of tutoring expertise. We’re seeking a Canada-based Video Editor & Graphic Designer to create viral short-form videos for our build-in-public social media campaign.

Role Description

This is a full-time, remote, contract role for a Video Editor & Graphic Designer at StudyApp.AI, based in Canada, with a budget of $1000 CAD/month. You’ll produce 40-50 engaging short-form videos (15-60 seconds) monthly for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn, targeting students and educators. Using provided B-roll, app demos, and sample videos, you’ll craft content for niches like #StudyTok, #SATPrep, and #EdTech, driving buzz for our upcoming launch.

Responsibilities

• Edit 40-50 short-form videos/month using provided assets (B-roll, screen recordings, founder footage).
• Design eye-catching graphics (thumbnails, text overlays, annotations) to boost engagement.
• Incorporate trending sounds, transitions, and effects inspired by StudyTok (e.g., @studyw.tok, @ccx.study).
• Adapt content for TikTok (trendy, Gen Z), Instagram (aesthetic), and LinkedIn (professional).
• Meet weekly deadlines, delivering 10-14 videos/week, with quick revisions based on feedback.

Qualifications

• Required:Proven experience editing short-form videos (TikTok, Reels, or similar) with 15-60 second formats.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
• Graphic design skills for thumbnails, overlays, and annotations (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Figma).
• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and trend awareness (e.g., StudyTok hooks).
• Ability to work independently, remotely, and meet tight deadlines.
• Based in Canada (to streamline hiring and communication).
• Preferred: Experience with educational or edtech content (e.g., study tips, app demos).
• Familiarity with motion graphics or color grading for polished visuals.
• Understanding of TikTok/Instagram algorithms (e.g., prioritizing bookmarks, shares).
• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Multimedia, Graphic Design, or related field (not required).
• $1000 CAD/month for 20-30 videos, paid via direct deposit or PayPal.
• Flexible remote work with creative freedom to shape viral content.
