Listuguj Police Department seeks a Victim Specialist to support victims/witnesses/survivors with compassionate, trauma-informed services throughout the criminal justice process. The role focuses on needs assessment, safety planning, information provision, and referrals, working with Haven House as needed.
The successful candidate will liaise with police and community partners, maintain confidentiality, and manage a caseload while upholding cultural sensitivity and Indigenous rights.

To assist and understand the needs of victims/witnesses/survivors and provide a full range of services, in a manner which is respectful, compassionate, trauma informed, bias-free, culturally appropriate, and impartial. Services include needs assessment(s), safety planning, crisis intervention, provision of information, emotional support and/or referrals, during a victim/witness/survivor’s engagement with the Listuguj Police Department and/or Haven House, including but not limited to the criminal justice process/inquests and inquiries.
