What is the opportunity?

As VP, Treasury Solutions, you will relationship manage a portfolio of corporate clients with their banking, treasury, and cash management requirements. Your clients will be senior market corporates with complex banking needs such as bank account structure, disbursements, receivables, and liquidity management. These clients often hold strategic, operational, and reputational importance to the bank and provide gateways for additional RBC products and services. You will also collaborate with Transaction Banking leadership and colleagues on account planning and risk management activities to grow relationships, enhance loyalty, and drive innovation.

What will you do?

  1. Manage relationships and grow revenue of a portfolio of corporate transaction banking clients, supporting their requirements, enhancing loyalty, and identifying cross-sell opportunities.
  2. Work collaboratively with leadership and key stakeholders to execute client coverage and business development plans that protect revenue streams and facilitate growth.
  3. Develop a thorough understanding of corporate deposit and liquidity tools and services to promote client deposit growth.
  4. Identify existing and prospective client operational requirements, manage proposals, and successfully close micro and macro opportunities.
  5. Coordinate the completion and execution of annual relationship and pricing reviews, including contract negotiations.
  6. Provide product and service recommendations through client discovery to solve business challenges and identify opportunities.
  7. Work with internal stakeholders to ensure solutions are implemented accurately and timely.
  8. Support operational and transactional risk management teams, collaborating with Capital Markets, Business Risk, and Global Banking Services Centre partners (including standard and negotiated service documentation).
  9. Support partners on credit risk reviews related to clients’ credit requirements and payment operations.
  10. Provide leadership and support to internal partners (e.g., service, implementation, documentation) to ensure an exceptional client experience.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 5+ years of banking experience in relationship management, account management, or sales, with knowledge of corporate cash management products, industry trends, and the RBC value proposition.
  • Proven track record of providing exceptional client service, achieving business objectives, and revenue growth in varying market conditions.
  • Strong negotiation skills in complex scenarios, with confidence working with executive stakeholders internally and with clients.
  • Ability to match client needs with solutions, implement strategies, manage projects on schedule, and prioritize multiple deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain relevant details.
  • Strong comprehension skills for interpreting legal documents, service agreements, and client communications.
  • Solid understanding of corporate financial statements and industry dynamics.
  • Organizational awareness and a commitment to continuous learning to keep skills and knowledge current.
  • Comfort with shifting priorities and complex problems requiring innovative solutions.
  • Interest in pursuing the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Canada and the US.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
