Role Overview

Reporting to our Chief Legal & Administrative Officer, this key role offers an opportunity to lead our information and operational systems and services. As Vice President, IT/OT, you will drive excellence in end-user support, infrastructure, operations, cybersecurity, enterprise business applications, project management, and Operational Technology, while leading our digital transformation journey. You will manage and implement the strategic roadmap for IT/OT, ensuring technology aligns with Northland’s strategy. Collaborating with the executive team, you will set priorities, allocate resources, and lead a team of technical professionals supporting our global operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with Northland’s goals.
  2. Lead and inspire a global team of technical professionals, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
  3. Drive enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives, modernize operational data systems, and streamline finance and ERP processes to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
  4. Stay informed of technological developments and industry trends; identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to improve operations and support strategic goals.
Who You Are
  1. Collaborative: Skilled at building relationships across all levels and navigating complex, matrix organizational structures.
  2. Excellent communicator: Capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influencing senior stakeholders.
  3. Problem-solver: Proactive in identifying system improvements and exploring innovative ideas.
  4. Results-oriented: Focused on driving business results and fostering a culture of growth and change.
  5. People leader: Experienced in building and managing high-performing global teams, with a focus on strategic impact and trust-building.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. 15+ years of technology experience, with at least 8 years in leadership roles.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field preferred.
  3. Proven ability to develop and execute IT/OT strategy in a complex, global environment.
  4. Experience managing critical OT infrastructure.
  5. Global experience, especially with European jurisdictions, preferred.
  6. Knowledge of NIST, NERC, GDPR, and ISO standards preferred.
  7. Track record of leading digital transformation and ERP implementation.
  8. Experience engaging with Boards and understanding governance standards.
  9. Experience in M&A and integrating technology and operations.
