A career as Vice-President, Institutional Markets - Eastern Canada at National Bank Trust is to increase the volume of business by developing mobilized teams and establishing high standards of client experience.

The Institutional Markets team is looking for a leader for Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes) who will be responsible for business development, managing strategic relationships (with clients, centers of influence and partners) and achieving industry objectives.

Your job

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to capture the full potential of our current clients
  • Develop an annual sales plan focused on acquiring new customers, as well as a detailed retention plan with a focus on high-value customers and companies with potential for consolidation or growth
  • Grow and maintain relationships with key centers of influence and consultants in the market
  • Take responsibility for the overall delivery of services, ensuring that they are delivered in accordance with the National Bank Trust (NBT) business model
  • Ensure the quality of services offered, continuous training of team members, and develop strategies to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Sit on the NBT Executive Committee and actively participate in the development of the firm's strategic plan and budget by bringing in-depth knowledge and expertise of its sector, client needs and the institutional market
  • Participate in industry events to promote our service offering and to ensure visibility for the Trust

Your team

You report directly to the President of National Bank Trust. The team consists of 20 experts who focus on business development while providing high-quality customer service.

Prerequisite

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a B2B wealth management environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of custody, portfolio management, investment funds, pension plans and wealth management products and services
  • Strong experience in managing and mobilizing a sales team
  • Comfortable and confident in using technology as an integral part of the sales process, with particular experience in using Salesforce
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at the same time
  • Demonstrate the ability to think and act strategically
  • Excellent communication skills - superior writing, editing and proofreading skills, and strong presentation skills
  • Ability to travel within the regions covered by the organization
