Job summary

Citco is a global leader providing fund administration and related services. We seek a senior Fund Accountant for Hedge Funds to manage NAV calculations, client relationships and onboarding of new funds.

You will work with experienced professionals and contribute to complex fund structures while ensuring accurate reporting and timely deliverables across multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Minimum 6-7 years’ experience in Hedge Fund Accounting.
• Proven interest in financial markets and the hedge fund industry.
• Exposure to system implementations and workflow processes.
• Strong Excel experience.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Calculate net asset values for hedge funds and review related financial statements.
• Manage accounts with support from Account Manager and Operations Managers.
• Review NAV calculations, financial statements and reports for complex funds.
• Review/authorize payments and other transactions.
• Provide training and supervision to team members.
• Plan and manage daily workflows for client relationships.
• Launch and onboarding of new funds and clients.

As a core member of our Fund Accounting – Hedge Funds team, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

• You will encompass all facets of the calculation of net asset values on a variety of complex hedge funds.
• Manage an account with the support of Account Manager/s and working closely with the Operations Managers
• Review Net Asset Value calculations, financial statements and associated reports for complex, high risk funds or as required
• Review/authorize payments and other transactions
• Provide training and supervision to team members
• Plan, schedule and manage the daily workflows of all client relationships within your account
• Manage the launch and set up of new funds and on-boarding of new clients
• Liaise with clients regarding reporting requirements and deadlines, ensuring delivery in an accurate and timely manner
• Act as primary relationship manager with local office stakeholders and or clients/third party fund participants
• Manage, develop and maintain relationships with local office stakeholders, investment advisors/managers, banks, brokers and auditors and other fund participants
• Develop, adhere and maintain targets concerning staffing, production, overtime budgeting and productivity
• Ensure all staff are appropriately trained and conduct performance evaluations bi-annually and informal one-on-one performance updates for Senior/Fund Accountants, Supervisor and Account Manager bi-monthly
• Escalate all material issues affecting the account to the Operations Manager (e.g., client relationship concerns, operational risk, compliance breaches, etc.) in a timely manner
• Manage and meet expectations of local office stakeholders, clients and fund participants, adhering to deadlines
• Build and maintain relationships with other Citco departments
• Participate in meetings and presentations to key stakeholders, clients and senior members
• Participate in and lead projects that may be defined from time to time in connection with the continuing expansion and evolution of the business
• Participate in managerial functions in conjunction with the Operations Manager
• Assist with any other functions required as part of the business of the Company and report to the Operations Manager

Qualifications

About You:

• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree.
• Minimum of 6-7 years’ experience in Hedge Fund Accounting
• Proven interest in financial markets and the hedge fund industry
• Exposure to system implementations and work flow process initiatives
• Strong Excel experience
• Excellent communication skills
