Vice-President, Finance - Permanent - 17941

About the Opportunity

Our growing client in Ottawa west is seeking a Vice-President of Finance to join their fast-paced, dynamic organization on a full-time, permanent basis. This organization prides itself in offering opportunities for professional growth and development paired with a generous compensation package.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Production of financial statements
• Coordination and preparation of budget and financial forecasts
• Costing and inventory analysis, cash flow management
• Preparing Month and Year End close
• Financial analysis, reporting, ad hoc analysis as needed
• Submission of tax remittances
• Present tax optimization strategies
• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders and presenting financial reports
• Liaising with external auditors and leading the Audit process
• Institute and maintain internal controls and policies & procedures, compliance
• Communicating with Senior Management on all Finance-related strategies, including developing long-term growth models
• Oversee and provide support to senior level accounting staff

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Active CPA Designation in good standing
• 7+ years of experience in Accounting & Finance within a similar role for a medium-to-large organization
• 5+ years of leadership of an accounting team
• Previous experience in a project-based industry an asset
• Experience with REIT a strong asset
• Strong oral, written, and communication skills in English
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, collaborative
