This volunteer position involves planning and coordinating professional development activities for student trustees across Ontario. Position: Vice-President, Events
Compensation:$nil (volunteer position)
Mandate: August 1, 2023, through July 31, 2024Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Direct reports: Learning & Development (Department)
Time commitment: 10-15 hours per week*
*Fluctuates, heavily increasing during conference seasons and decreasing during off-seasons
OSTA-AECO empowers and advocates for the students of Ontario and provides rich, tailored professional development to student trustees across the province so that they are well-equipped to represent the needs of their local communities.
The Vice-President, Events is responsible for the professional development of student trustees across Ontario. Their primary role is planning and coordinating conferences and other professional development activities for student trustees across Ontario.
As the head of the Learning & Developments team, the VP, Events shall:
The VP, Events will also sit as a non-voting executive council member.
The successful candidate will be required to attend OSTA-AECO’s three annual conferences and any onsite professional development sessions.
Any applicant for the VP, Events must be and remain a student trustee for the duration of their mandate.
