A leading organization in Alberta is seeking a VP Claims & Disability Management to provide inspirational leadership and ensure effective claims management delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive senior management experience, strong business acumen, and the ability to navigate complex issues. Dedicated to safeguarding the interests of two million workers and over 170,000 employers throughout the province, and managing an Accident Fund totaling $13 billion, WCB plays a pivotal role in ensuring that injured workers receive fair and timely benefits and services. WCB also supports employers by providing stable insurance rates and implementing pricing programs that promote workplace safety and effective disability management strategies.
Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer, the VP Claims & Disability Management will be an inspiring leader ensuring effective claims management delivery, representing the organization externally, building relationships with community partners, and supporting the organization’s mission, vision, and values as part of the Strategic Management Council.
The ideal candidate will have senior management experience in a complex organization and proven leadership skills. They should possess strong business acumen, advanced planning, organizing, negotiating skills, and be results-oriented. Experience in initiating and implementing change, along with problem-solving and decision-making skills, are essential. The ability to understand and address complex, multi-faceted issues is also important.
