Board Certified or Residency Trained in ECC

Job description

We are seeking motivated, team-oriented, and passionate Criticalists (Board Certified or Residency Trained in ECC) to join our growing emergency and specialty team.

Since opening in Sherwood Park, Alberta, in March 2020, we have expanded our specialty and emergency services throughout Alberta and established strong referring relationships across British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the Northwest Territories, and the Yukon. As we develop our relationships with the referring community, we have also built a dedicated team of specialists, including Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, and Dentistry / Oral Surgery. Our team also includes enthusiastic Emergency Doctors and Technicians. We promote an environment of learning and education, supported by a house office training program that currently hosts five rotating interns and a cardiology resident.

Our goal is to foster a healthy working environment based on mutual respect, collegiality, and ongoing education, enabling us to uphold high standards of medicine and deliver exceptional patient care. Our facility offers 24-hour staffing, state-of-the-art MRI and CT imaging, a Servo U ventilator, Vapotherm high-flow oxygen, endoscopy, two ultrasounds, and onsite Antech Diagnostics.

We take pride in maintaining a privately owned hospital, allowing us to grow our departments' visions without corporate constraints. Our technicians are eager to develop their skills and are supported in the hospital to promote technician retention.

Position Summary

The Criticalist Veterinarian will provide high-level medical care to our patients, deliver exceptional client service to pet owners and referring veterinarians, and exemplify teamwork at Pulse Veterinary Specialists & Emergency through professionalism.
