*Project Manager ? Masonry Construction**Location:* Manitoba*Employment Type:* Full-Time*About the Position*We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our masonry team in Manitoba. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing commercial, institutional, industrial, and multi-residential masonry projects from pre-construction through project completion.This position requires a motivated professional with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills who can successfully manage project schedules, budgets, quality, safety, and client relationships while ensuring compliance with applicable Canadian and Manitoba construction standards.*
*Key Responsibilities** Manage multiple masonry construction projects throughout Manitoba.* Plan, organize, and coordinate all phases of construction from award to closeout.* Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling methods.* Monitor project budgets, forecasts, labour productivity, equipment utilization, and material costs.* Coordinate with owners, consultants, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors.* Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, tender documents, and change orders.* Prepare and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, shop drawings, change orders, progress claims, and project documentation.* Lead project meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes and action items.* Work closely with site superintendents and forepersons to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet productivity targets.* Coordinate procurement of masonry materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.* Ensure work complies with contract documents, applicable building codes, project specifications, and quality standards.* Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.* Assist with project estimating, budgeting, and project closeout documentation.* Maintain positive relationships with clients while identifying opportunities for future work.*
*Safety Responsibilities*The Project Manager is expected to promote a strong safety culture and ensure projects comply with all applicable Manitoba workplace safety requirements, including:* The Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act and applicable regulations.* Site-specific safety plans and general contractor safety requirements.* Hazard identification and risk assessment processes.* Incident reporting and corrective actions.* Safe work procedures and ongoing safety communication.The successful candidate will work closely with site supervision to ensure compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety legislation.*
*Qualifications** Minimum five years of Project Management experience in masonry or commercial construction.* Strong knowledge of structural and architectural masonry systems.* Experience managing commercial, institutional, industrial, or multi-family construction projects.* Thorough understanding of Canadian construction contracts and project administration.* Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings.* Experience with project scheduling, cost control, procurement, and contract administration.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.* Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License (or ability to obtain one).*
*Preferred Qualifications** Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.* Professional designation such as Project Management Professional (PMP) is considered an asset.* Experience with CCDC contract documents.* Experience using Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and other construction management software.*Knowledge of Applicable Standards*The successful candidate should have working knowledge of:* The National Building Code
