VFX Project Manager

Job details

Subcool Mechanical is currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team for current and upcoming projects related to plumbing, gasfitting, HVAC, and refrigeration. The successful candidate will be responsible for the project from start to finish.

• Manage multiple construction projects focused on plumbing, including design, permitting, procurement, construction, and close-out.
• Manage contracts with subcontractors, including tenders, bid reviews, RFIs, and change orders.
• Oversee project schedules, identify critical paths, and find opportunities to optimize timelines.
• Ensure adherence to quality control and quality assurance processes, coordinating with testing agencies and consultants.
• Conduct regular site and virtual meetings.
• Monitor project budgets, review KPIs, and provide updates to the executive team.
• Review and process trade and vendor invoices.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to team members.
• Develop and improve project management tools and processes.
• Strive for continuous improvement in company processes and product quality.
• Offer creative solutions and bring enthusiasm and positivity to the role.

Role Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in plumbing or similar roles.
• Knowledge of the commercial plumbing/mechanical industry.
• Ability to read and understand drawings is an asset.
• Strong technical computer skills, especially in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, with effective communication and organizational skills.
• In-depth knowledge of financial aspects like estimating, budgeting, and cost control.
• Ability to anticipate project issues and develop solutions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed.

Location: Morinville, AB, on-site.
