*Job Summary*We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful implementation of projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of project management methodologies. This role requires effective team management, quality assurance, and budget oversight to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet the highest standards.*Duties** Work with other departments to actively pursue and prioritize opportunities/ projects to improve existing operations.* Participate closely with Process Engineering and Sales during the process-design and cost-analysis phase prior to the launch of a new product or the addition of new capacity.* Translate the Customer Requirements into clear Engineering and Equipment Requirements (Project Scope of Work).* Manage all aspects of each project, including internal and external resources, from concept to installation and commissioning.* Anticipate risks, implement preventive and corrective actions, and escalate when necessary.* Ensure relevant and timely communication is maintained with all internal stakeholders, with the customer, with the equipment vendors and with the raw-material and component suppliers.* Head the APQP activities to ensure a successful Launch and, where it?s required, a smooth PPAP approval* Deliver projects that meet the Scope of Work, Timing, Implementation Costs, Product Throughput, Product Quality, and Operational Costs.* Conduct effective and well-document handovers with the affected departments.* Manage projects to upgrade the buildings, grounds, and services as required.*Mandatory requirements:** Previous lead-role in APQP, PFMEA, Control-Plans, Work-Instructions, and PPAP activities.* Experience managing Assembly Projects (Torque, Press, Force/Distance, Cameras, Sensors, Functional Testing, Traceability, Packaging, ?).* Experience managing Material Handling Projects (Robotics, conveyors, sorting systems, ?).* Good grasp of the Mill, Drill, Tap, Turn, Hone, and Grind operations.* Strong verbal and written Communication.* Strong Coordination, and Organization.*Major requirements:** Understanding of GD&T requirements and how to achieve them.* Reading and interpreting CMM and other Lab readings and reports.* Good grasp on Machine Design, Fixturing/Part-Holding, Hydraulics, and Pneumatics.* Understanding of Ergonomics, Safety, and Sustainability requirements.* Understanding IATF and/or VDA standards.* Extensive use of Excel and other Microsoft Office software.* Ability to use 2D and 3D engineering software.* Good knowledge of Problem-Solving techniques.* Ability to work in and to promote a Respectful and Safe Team Environment.*Preferred requirements:** Ability to use and modify CNC and/or PLC programs.* Understanding Metallurgy (Castings, Forgings) and Heat-Treat processes.* Working knowledge of SAP.* Experience with facilities improvement projects.*Qualifications:** Post-Secondary Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.* 8 years or more in a Machining or Assembly environment.
