VCA California Veterinary Specialists in Ontario is the largest 24-hour Emergency and Specialty hospital in the Inland Empire.

For the past decade, we have provided exceptional veterinary service and patient care. We pride ourselves on our work and are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for an experienced credentialed technician (RVT) for our ERCC Department. If you possess these skills, this role might be a good fit for you.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and perform treatments for patients requiring intensive management, recognize significant changes in patient condition, and notify the veterinarian.
2. Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement on critical patients.
3. Assist with anesthetic induction and monitor sensitive and critically ill patients.
4. Operate and maintain specialized equipment, and demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills.
5. Care for urinary catheters, central lines, and nasal gastric tubes.
6. Calculate CRI and medication dosages accurately, demonstrating strong mathematical skills.
7. Run in-house lab samples and handle submissions to outside laboratories as needed.
8. Pay attention to details, especially discrepancies in patient care and treatments.
9. Work productively with minimal supervision.

Compensation:

$25 - $27 per hour, negotiable based on education, experience, and credentials. Shift differentials are available for weekend and later hours.
