404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital in Newmarket, Ontario seeks a Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our 24/7 emergency team. The role includes day, overnight, weekend and holiday shifts with compensation ranging from $18.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience and skills.

As part of our fast-paced hospital, you will assist with triage, diagnostics, surgery prep, and front desk tasks while delivering exceptional client service and compassionate care to our patients.

At 404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital, we welcome a dedicated Veterinary Technician Assistan t who shares our commitment to compassionate medicine and outstanding client service to join our fast-paced Emergency team in Newmarket, Ontario. Our hospital is open 24 hours, seven days a week; therefore, this role may include a variety of daytime, overnight, weekend and holiday schedules.

What You Will Do

As an important part of our emergency team, you will keep our hospital running smoothly and ensure our patients receive top-tier care. You will:

• Support emergency triage and exams , helping our medical team assess and comfort incoming patients promptly.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures to help us get the answers our patients need.
• Prepare patients and surgical suites for emergency procedures, ensuring a sterile and efficient environment.
• Provide compassionate care and comfort to our hospitalized patients.
• Help at the front desk when needed, answering phones, welcoming clients, and assisting with emergency billing.

What You Bring

• A warm, compassionate heart with exceptional client service skills and a nurturing approach to pet care.
• A Veterinary Assistant (VA) certificate or equivalant technical assistance clinical experience is an asset.
