Job summary

Clearwater Animal Hospital in Windsor, Ontario is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA-accredited team. This full-time position offers a negotiable salary based on experience and requires a DCS/DEC in Veterinary Technology with RVT certification.

You’ll provide compassionate nursing care, support exams and surgeries, and contribute to dental radiography, imaging, and lab work while growing professionally in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • DCS / DEC in Veterinary Technology.
  • Current RVT certification.
  • Experience in a veterinary hospital preferred; we’re happy to train the right candidate.
  • Strong technical and nursing skills.
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance.
  • Knowledge of dentistry and dental radiography.
  • Confidence with venipuncture and IV catheterization.
  • Experience with laboratory procedures and diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to hospitalized and outpatient patients.
  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Support surgical procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and patient recovery.
  • Assist with dentistry and dental radiography.
  • Capture high-quality diagnostic radiographs and perform therapeutic laser treatments.
  • Assist with ultrasound procedures and routine lab work.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalized and outpatient patients
  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and medical procedures
  • Support surgical procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and patient recovery
  • Assist with dentistry and perform dental radiography
  • Capture high-quality diagnostic radiographs
  • Perform therapeutic laser treatments
  • Assist with ultrasound procedures
  • Perform laboratory testing, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement
What You’ll Bring
  • DCS / DEC in Veterinary Technology
  • Current Registered Veterinary Technician certification
  • Previous veterinary hospital experience preferred, but we’re happy to train the right candidate
