Job summary
Clearwater Animal Hospital in Windsor, Ontario is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA-accredited team. This full-time position offers a negotiable salary based on experience and requires a DCS/DEC in Veterinary Technology with RVT certification.
You’ll provide compassionate nursing care, support exams and surgeries, and contribute to dental radiography, imaging, and lab work while growing professionally in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- DCS / DEC in Veterinary Technology.
- Current RVT certification.
- Experience in a veterinary hospital preferred; we’re happy to train the right candidate.
- Strong technical and nursing skills.
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance.
- Knowledge of dentistry and dental radiography.
- Confidence with venipuncture and IV catheterization.
- Experience with laboratory procedures and diagnostic imaging.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized and outpatient patients.
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Support surgical procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and patient recovery.
- Assist with dentistry and dental radiography.
- Capture high-quality diagnostic radiographs and perform therapeutic laser treatments.
- Assist with ultrasound procedures and routine lab work.
