Job summary

Affinity Animal Hospital in Martinsville, SK is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team. You will work across all clinic areas, delivering compassionate care to small animal patients and supporting DVM and senior staff.

The role requires experience in a clinic setting, comfort with large dogs and fractious cats, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a clinic environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Cover reception duties including invoices and payments.
  • Provide excellent client service in person and by phone.
  • Provide compassionate patient care, handling and restraint.
  • Prepare lab samples and assist in radiography and surgery as trained.
  • General housekeeping and support to DVM and senior staff.
  • Assist other staff as required.

Job Description

Affinity Animal Hospital is currently seeking an enthusiastic Licensed Veterinary Technician (RVT). In this role, you are tasked with a duty that's integral to our success! Experience in small animal practice is required. We value a team approach to practicing quality veterinary medicine in a friendly atmosphere while maintaining a healthy work-life balance for all team members. Applicants will be working in all areas of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Covering reception duties such as preparing invoices and collecting payments, general administrative tasks and filing
  • Providing excellent customer service to our clients both in person and over the phone
  • Compassionate and competent patient care, handling and restraint
  • Preparing laboratory samples, assisting in radiography and surgery as appropriate to level of training and experience
  • General housekeeping duties
  • Providing general assistance to the DVM and senior staff as required
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Clinic environment experience is considered an asset
  • Must be comfortable working with and handling large dogs and fractious cats
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Must be flexible in terms of hours/days and be available for evenings & weekends. Most importantly, must be a positive people loving person who enjoys interacting with others!
