Job summary

Charles River in Laval is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support the Toxicology team and ensure the wellbeing of laboratory animals. You will help maintain animal health and contribute to the integrity of pre-clinical studies in a regulated facility.

The role includes working with veterinarians to implement treatment plans, performing medical procedures, and monitoring welfare. A College Diploma in Animal Health or related field is required, with physical ability and adaptability to changes

• Able to work physically (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.).
• Good observation skills.
• Able to quickly adapt to last minute changes.

Job Overview

We are looking for the followingminimum qualificationsfor this role:

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company

Role Specific Information:

• Transportation: Free parking. Near the Montmorency Subway. Electric vehicle charging station;
• Premiums: Evening ($2.50), Weekend ($2.75), Overtime (Time and a half), Holidays (Double time);
• Annual bonus based on performance plan;
• Schedule: Daytime Monday to Friday with weekends rotation (1/2). Depending on the needs, you may have to do overtime and holidays;
• Permanent position as of the hiring, 37.5hrs per week.
