Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in Senneville, QC seeks a Clinical Veterinarian to oversee the well-being of laboratory animals and ensure the integrity of pre-clinical studies. You will provide medical care and expert guidance on animal procedures.

This full-time position operates mostly daytime with possible evening or weekend rotation. The role includes joining the animal ethics committee and contributing to SOP improvements, with a permanent hire following a successful probation.

Job Overview

As a Clinical Veterinarian for our Veterinary Services team in Senneville, you will be responsible for the well‑being of our laboratory animals. Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre‑clinical studies.

In This Role, Primary Responsibilities Include

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with a valid and up to date OMVQ licence, with no prior work experience
• Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to change

• Ability to lead work in a team environment
• Able to work physically (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.)

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.

• Location: 22022 route Transcanadienne, Senneville, QC, H9X 1C1
• Transportation: We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station
• Annual bonus based on performance
• Schedule: Mostly daytime Monday to Friday. Depending on the needs, you will have to do evening, night, and weekend rotation on call
• Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week
