Compensation: $17.85 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills

At Ottawa Veterinary Hospital, we welcome a Veterinary Receptionist, Client Care Coordinator to join our team full-time in Ottawa, Ontario. This is an exciting opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic professional to step into an important hospital support role.

What You Will Do

• Creating a Warm Welcome: Greeting our patients and pet parents with empathy and care, ensuring they feel welcomed, supported, and appreciated from the moment they walk in.
• Managing Hospital Communication: Serving as our front-line voice by answering multi-line phones and managing client and referring veterinarian emails.
• Coordinating Appointments: Proactively booking visits, scheduling follow-ups, and making outbound calls to keep our patient care on track.
• Handling Financial Transactions: Guiding pet owners through the invoicing and billing process with clarity and compassion, confirming estimates, and processing payments.
• Maintaining a Comforting Space: Keeping our reception lobby and common areas clean, tidy, and welcoming for both pets and their families.
• Supporting Our Clinical Team: Assisting our veterinary staff with treatments and tasks while eagerly learning new medical office procedures and veterinary skills.

What You Bring

• Exceptional customer service skills with a natural ability to show empathy, comfort, and patience under pressure.
• Outstanding multi-tasking skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong sense of reliability.
• A genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for veterinary medicine and a desire to learn hands‑on clinical support skills.
• Prior hospitality front desk, medical receptionist, or animal hospital/shelter experience is welcome.
