Job Summary

As a Veterinary Pathologist 2, for our team located in Senneville, Quebec, Canada, you will mainly be responsible for tissue evaluation and interpretation of assigned studies. Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.

In this role, primary responsibilities include:

  • Perform macroscopic and microscopic tissue evaluation and interpretation of assigned studies.
  • Record pathology findings in data capturing system(s).
  • Prepare complex reports delineating pathological findings and detailing all test article effects.
  • Interact with clients to assure satisfaction and to market services.
  • May assist with necropsy supervision and may conduct necropsies, including gross pathology interpretation, sample collection and fixation.
  • As needed, work with study directors to ensure data is accurately integrated into study reports.
  • Provide training, technical guidance and leadership to laboratory staff and to less experienced pathologists, as needed.
  • Provide advanced scientific expertise for experimental design and other aspects of research studies as needed.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Key Elements

If you possess the following qualifications, we will train you in the rest:

  • Open to new graduates, eligible for ACVP/ECVP board exam.
  • Doctorate degree (D.V.M/V.M.D.) from an accredited veterinary school, or acceptable international equivalent in veterinary medicine.
  • Working knowledge of clinical pathology preferred; specialized training and/or experience in medical device pathology preferred.
  • Board certification with the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (A.C.V.P.) or European College of Veterinary Pathologists (E.C.V.P) required to enter the level grade.
  • Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought.
  • Ability to work on problems of diverse scope in which analysis of data requires evaluation of multiple factors.
  • Ability to exercise judgement within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods or techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Working knowledge of related computer applications.

Schedule: Onsite, Monday to Friday.
