Job summary

MVESC in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is hiring a full-time Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our emergency and specialty hospital. You will welcome clients, manage a multi-line phone system, and support veterinarians with accuracy and empathy.

Ideal candidates have veterinary hospital experience, excellent English, strong communication and organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a veterinary hospital strongly preferred.
  • Emergency veterinary experience is an asset.
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and patients with professionalism, empathy, and compassion.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience from arrival through discharge.
  • Answer and manage a multi-line phone system while prioritizing urgent situations.
  • Provide clients with timely updates regarding patient status and expected wait times.
  • Prepare treatment estimates and accurately process payments.
  • Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and medical record documentation.
  • Maintain accurate client records using the hospital's electronic medical record system.
  • Support veterinarians and veterinary teams through effective communication and coordination.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming hospital environment.
  • Perform additional administrative and client service responsibilities as needed.

Veterinary Client Service Representative | $19–$25/hour

Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Schedule: Full-Time | Three 12-hour shifts per week

Compensation: $19.00–$25.00/hour based on experience, skills, and assessment

Maritime Veterinary Emergency + Specialty Centre (MVESC) is hiring a full-time Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our Emergency & Specialty animal hospital in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This role is ideal for a compassionate, organized professional who enjoys helping pets, supporting families, and working closely with veterinary teams in a fast-paced hospital environment.

As a Client Service Representative at MVESC, you’ll play an important role in creating an exceptional client experience while supporting a growing specialty and emergency veterinary team.

Compensation

Schedule
  • Three 12-hour shifts per week
    • Weekday shifts: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.
    • Weekend coverage: Friday 5:00 p.m. – Monday 8:00 a.m.
  • Includes a combination of day, evening, and overnight shifts
  • Flexibility to support hospital scheduling needs
